PREPARATION AND PROPERTIES OF ACRYLATE RUBBER BASED DAMPING MATERIALS

Release time: 2019-11-04

Abstract:

This work aimed to prepare ACM-based rubber materials with superior damping properties. The effect of hindered phenol types, compound hindered phenol ratio, filling systems and graphene oxide(GO)loadings on the properties of ACM damping composites were investigated. The results are showed: Among four different types of hindered phenol, AO-1035 endowed the highest tan(the value is 3.5) of ACM vulcanized rubber, and AO-80 endowed the superior mechanical properties of ACM vulcanized rubber is compared with neat ACM. It was found that when the compounding ratio of AO-80/AO-1035 was 45/15, the effective damping temperature range(tan≥0.3)of the ACM vulcanized rubber was obviously broadened, and the damping stability of material was improved significantly. The effects of carbon black or silica loadings on the damping properties of ACM/AO-80 composites were investigated. It was found that the effective damping temperature range of ACM/AO-80/CB composites is better than that of ACM/AO-80/SiO2 composites and the effective damping temperature range of ACM/AO-80 composite with 60 phr carbon black was broadened by 10℃ compared with unfilled composite, and the damping stability of material was improved significantly. The results also showed that the introduction of GO remarkably improved the mechanical properties, thermal stability and damping stability of ACM/AO-80 composite. It was also found that when the loadings of GO was 1 phr, the mechanical properties of the composite are improved by 81% compared with unfilled composite, and the damping stability was also improved significant.
