Description
Methyl formate is the methyl ester form of formic acid. It can be used for the manufacturing of fromamide, dimethylformamide, acetic acid and formic acid. It has been proposed to be a building block in C1 chemistry (processes that convert molecules with one carbon atom such as carbon monoxide, methanol, formaldehyde and methane into organic compounds with increased carbon number). It can also be used for quick-drying finishes and a blowing agent for some polyurethane foam due to its high vapor pressure. It can also be used as an insecticide.More related product prices
