General procedure for the preparation of pyrazoles (4a-4za)
General procedure: Cu(OAc)2 (10 mol%) was added to a stirred solution of 4,5-dihydro-1H-pyrazole (3a, 1.0 mmol) in acetonitrile at room temperature and followed by TBHP (70% solution, 5.0 mmol). The reaction mixture was stirred at the same temperature and the reaction was monitored by TLC. After completion of the reaction (10 min), the solvent was removed under reduced pressure and subjected for the column chromatography purification using silica gel (60:120, ethyl acetate/hexane 2:98) afforded 1H-pyrazole (4a) as colourless solid in 95% yield.
