b. Intermediate 3 (101 g, 255 mmol) was given to THF (1 L), Pd/C-5% (22.0 g, 52,3 % water) was added. It was stirred under hydrogen atmosphere and standard pressure for 16 h. Ca. 6 L hydrogen were used up. The reaction mixture was filtrated and concentrated in vacuo until dryness. The yellowish-oily product 4 crystallized slowly und was used without further processing (58.9 g, 219 mmol, 86%).
