General method for the synthesis of compounds 5a-5l
General procedure: A total of 10 mmol of cinnamoyl chloride (3) or (methylenedioxy)cinnamoyl chloride (4) was dissolved in a suitablequantity of acetone, 10 mmol of different secondary amines,and 2-3 drops of triethylamine were added at room temperatureand continuously stirred for 10-12 h to obtain thecompounds 5a-5l. Completion of the reaction was monitoredby TLC plates (Abou-Seri et al. 2011).
