According to the previously described general procedure (GP8), the oxidation of 3-(3- fluoro-4-methoxy-phenyl)-propan-1-ol (3.575 g; 19.407 mmol) gave 3-(3-fluoro-4-methoxy- phenyl)-propionaldehyde (colorless oil; 2.516 g; 71 %).LC-MS: t_R = 0.90 min.; [M+H]⁺: no ionisation.
