Reference Example 34 2-bromo-1-(2-fluoropyridin-3-yl)ethanone hydrobromide 1-(2-Fluoropyridin-3-yl)ethanone (3.0 g) was dissolved in 25% hydrogen bromide-acetic acid solution (10 mL), bromine (1.2 mL) was added dropwise at 0° C. The reaction mixture was allowed to warm to room temperature, and the mixture was stirred at the same temperature for 2 hr. The obtained reaction mixture was concentrated under reduced pressure, and the obtained solid was washed with ethyl acetate to give the title compound as a brown powder (3.5 g, yield 54%). 1H-NMR (CDCl3) δ: 4.90 (2H, d, J=1.9 Hz), 7.57 (1H, ddd, J=7.6, 4.9, 2.3 Hz), 8.43-8.50 (1H, m), 8.48-8.53 (1H, m), 10.18 (1H, brs).
