Preparation of 6-(aminomethyl)-3,3-dimethylbenzo[c][1,2]oxaborol-1(3H)-ol hydrochloride
A solution of 6-(bromomethyl)-3,3-dimethylbenzo[c][1,2]oxaborol-1(3H)-ol (254 mg, 1 mmol) in NH3 gas pre-dissolved methanol (15 ml) was stirred at rt for 3 h.
Then the mixture was concentrated under vacuum and the residue was adjusted to pH=5 with 2N HCl followed by extraction with ethyl acetate.
The aqueous layer was concentrated under vacuum to provide the product (174 mg, yield 76%).
