Example 3 Synthesis of 2-methylthio-2,2,4'-trifluoroacetophenone ?Compound[(2c-2)] In a similar manner to Example 1(1) except that 1.0 g (5.4 mmol) of 4'-fluoro-2-(methylthio)acetophenone ?Compound[(2a-2)] was used instead of Compound (2a-1), 0.54 g of the title Compound (2c-2) was obtained in the form of a light yellow oil (yield: 45.0%). ¹ H-NMR(CDCl₃)δ ppm: 2.37(t,3H), 7.15-7.22(m,2H), 8.18-8.20(m,2H).
