At room temperature, CsF (60mg) was added to a mixture of furfuraldehyde (1. 3ML) and TMS-CF3 (2.5g) and stirred at room temperature (24 h) and refluxed for another 12h. 3N HCI (40ML) was added and after 4hr, the mixture was extracted with ether, washed with brine, dried over MGS04, and concentrated in vacuo to give the product (2.6g, 100%).
