General procedure for the Hydroalkoxylation
General procedure: The alcohol (0.25 mmol) is dissolved in 2 ml of dichloromethane. Bu4NPF6 (5 mol%) and Ca(NTf2)2 (5 mol%) are added at indicated temperature and stirred until conversion of the alcohol is complete (monitored by TLC and/or GC). For the isolation of the product, 5 mL sat. NaHCO3-solution is added, the aqueous phase extracted with dichloromethane, the combined organic phases dried over Na2SO4 and concentrated in vacuo. The crude product is purified by column chromatography.
