A solution of 2-(4-nitrophenyl)-1,2-thiazolidine 1,1-dioxide (400.0 mg, 1.65 mmol, 1 eq) in MeOH (3 mL)/DCM (2 mL) was hydrogenated in the presence of Pd/C (100.0 mg) at 35 °C and 50 psi for 16 h. The mixture was filtered. The filtrate was concentrated under reduced pressure to give the title compound (320 mg, yield: 91.3%) as an off-white solid. MS obsd. ESI MS [M+H]+: 213
