In a 25mL round-bottomed flask, 10mL of ethyl acetate was added, 0.04g of titanocene dichloride was added, 1.52g (8.1mmol, 0.9eq) of 4-bromophenylhydrazine, 1.39g (9mmol, 1eq) of o-carboxybenzaldehyde were added, The temperature was raised to 90 °C, and the open reaction was carried out under mechanical mixing for 45 min, and the reaction progress was detected by TLC. When the reaction is complete, the temperature is lowered to 0° C. after the reaction is completed, filtered and separated, and dried to obtain white 2-(4,-bromophenyl)-2,3-naphthalen-1-one. The yield was 95.2%, and the purity was 99.63%.
