Steps:
3.2 2,6-difluoro-3,5-dimethoxybenzoic acid
LiOH.H2O (14.5 g, 345 mmol) was added to methyl 2,6-difluoro-3,5-dimethoxybenzoate (20 g, 86.2 mmol) in THF / H. 200 ml / 200 ml) solution. It was then heated to 25 °C and stirred for 3 h.The reaction system was adjusted to pH 1-2 with 4N hydrochloric acid to remove excess solvent, filtered and washed with water (2*100 ml) and dried. Obtaining 16.8 g of 2,6-difluoro-3,5-dimethoxybenzoic acid as a white solid.The yield was 90%.
