Steps:

Procedure for the synthesis of 3-(2-chlorophenyl)-5-methylisoxazole-4-carboxamide (A14)

3-(2-Chlorophenyl)-5-methylisoxazole-4-carbonyl chloride(5 mmol) in concentrated ammonia (10 mL) was refluxed at100 °C for 1 h in a sealed tube. After completion of reaction as monitored by TLC, the contents were cooled to roomtemperature and the precipitated solid was filtered off undervacuum as the crude product which was washed with icecoldwater (3 × 5 mL), dried and further recrystallized fromethanol.
