(ii) 3-(4-Chloro-benzoylamino)-propionic acid 450 mg 3-(4-Chloro-benzoylamino)-propionic acid tert-butyl ester was dissolved in a mixture of 70 mL CH2Cl2 and 30 mL trifluoroacid acid. After 12 h the solvent was removed under reduced pressure and the residue was purified by preparative HPLC (C18 reverse phase column, elution with a H2O/MeCN gradient with 0.1% TFA). The fractions containing the product were evaporated and lyophilized to yield a white solid. Yield: 360 mg MS (ES+): m/e= 228, chloro pattern
