Steps:

Heck reaction procedure

General procedure: A Schlenk flask was filled with the aryl halide (1.3 mmol),methyl acrylate (1.3 mmol), Na2CO3 (2.6 mmol), complex 3(0.0013 mmol), and DMA (1 mL) under a N2 atmosphere.The mixture was then heated at 140 °C for 10 h. After thereaction was complete, the solution was cooled to roomtemperature. The reaction mixture was then washed withwater, extracted with CH2Cl2 (3 × 5 mL), dried overNa2SO4, and filtered. The solvent was removed underreduced pressure. Further purification of the product wasachieved by flash chromatography on a silica gel column.
