Steps:
64.1 Step 1: 3,6-Dibromopyrazine-2-carboxamide
3,6-Dibromopyrazine-2-carboxylic acid (1.0 g, 3.55 mmol) in DMF (10 mL)To a solution of NHCl (570 mg, 10.6 mmol), HATU (1.62 g, 4.26 mmol)and DIEA (2.29 g, 17.7 mmol) were added and the mixture was stirred at 25 oC for 1 hour. The reaction mixture was diluted with aqueous ammonium chloride solution (20 mL) at 25 oC.was added to quench, then water (30 mL) was added and EA (50 mL x 3)was extracted with The combined organic layers were washed with brine (20 mL x 3), dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate, filtered and concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by column chromatography to give 3,6-dibromopyrazine-2-carboxamide (310 mg, 31% yield) as a yellow solid.
