2.3. General procedure for the synthesis of pyrazoles
General Procedure: In a 100 ml round bottom flask, 1,3-dicarbonyl compound (1 mmol), hydrazine/hydrazide/diamine(1 mmol) were added in pure water and stirred at r.t. To the reaction mixture, Zn[(L)proline]2 was added. The progress of reaction mixture was monitored by TLC. After completion of reaction the product was extracted using ethylacetate (in case of liquid product) and dried over anhydrous sodium sulphate. Solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure. Otherwise filtered as it is. Water extract was further used for consecutive runs. Obtained products were further purified by column chromatography using hexane:ethylacetate (70:30) as an eluent. Compounds were characterized by spectral data.
