Steps:

4.2.1. General procedure for the preparation of 5-aminoisoxazoles 6a-g

General procedure: Ketonitrile 5 (100 mmol) was added to 15% aqueous NaOH solution(100 mL) followed by hydroxylamine (200 mmol). The resulting mixture was heated at reflux for 14 h, cooled down to r.t., the resulting precipitate was isolated by filtration and crystallized from isopropyl alcohol.
