Add 43 g of 5-(3-trifluoromethylbenzylidene)imidazoline-2,4-dione pale yellow solid to a 500mL reaction flask,200mL of sodium hydroxide solution with a concentration of 5% by mass, heated to reflux at 105°C for 2h,After the reaction is complete, stop heating, cool to room temperature, adjust the pH of the solution to 3 with hydrochloric acid with a mass percentage concentration of 10% under ice bath conditions, and stir and crystallize for 9 hours;After suction filtration, the filter cake was washed with a small amount of ethanol and dried under vacuum at 50°C to obtain 30.8 g of the compound 2-oxo-m-trifluoromethyl-3-phenylpropionic acid, with a yield of 75.1%.
