Steps:
6.1 Procedure for synthesis -tert-butylpyrimidin-4-amine (Step-1)
4-iert-butyl-6-chloropyrimidine (for a synthesis see WO 2011045353) (20 g, 1 17.204 mmol) and saturated aqueous ammonia (75 mL) were sealed in a pressure tube and heated at 100°C for 18h. The reaction was cooled and the solid filtered off. More solid was removed from tube by washing with methanol and then evaporating to give further crude product. The combined crude product was washed with water and dried to give the desired product as a white solid, (16.1g (77%). LC-MS: (positive ES MH+ 152).
