Steps:
N-arylidene-4-(hexyloxy)benzenamines (A-G) were prepared accordingto the following scheme
General procedure: A mixture of the 4-hexyloxyaniline (790 mg, 4.1 mmol) and 4-substituted benzaldehyde (4.1mmol) in ethanol (10 ml) were refluxedfor 2 h. The reaction mixture was cooled and filtered and washed with cold ethanol. The obtained solid was purified by recrystallization twicefrom hot ethanol to give pure compounds
