A pressure vessel was charged with compound 6.1 (512 mg, 0.51 mmol) and a saturated solution of ammonia in ethanol (15 mL). The vessel was sealed and the reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 1.5 hours, whereupon the reaction mixture was concentrated. Compound 6.3 (538 mg, >100%) was isolated as an orange solid, contaminated with inorganic salts.
