Under cooling in an ice water bath, compound 19 (13.8 g, 0.081 mol) was added to H2SO4 (90%, 44 mL), stirred at room temperature for 2 days, and stirred at 60 °C overnight. The reaction solution was cooled to room temperature and then poured into stirred ice water, filtered, washed with water, and dried in vacuo to obtain off-white solid compound 20 (14.9 g, yield 97.3%).
