Step B; The above intermediate from Step A (17.0 g) was dissolved in 100 mL of 4 M HCl/dioxane, stirred for one hour, evaporated and dried under vacuum. Intermediate 26 was obtained as white solid. ¹H NMR (400 MHz, CD₃OD) δ 8.75 (s, 1H), 8.00 (s, 1H), 2.58 (s, 2H), 3.57 (t, J=6.0 Hz, 2H), 3.42 (t, J=6.0 Hz, 2H).
