A solution of 5-fluoro-7-nitro-2,3-dihydrobenzofuran (600 mg, 3.28 mmol, 1 .00 eq) in ethyl acetate ( 1 5.0 mL) was added palladium on carbon (500 mg, 10% purity), the reaction mixture was stirred at 25 °C for 1 2 h under hydrogen atmosphere. The reaction mixture was filtered and the filtrate was concentrated to afford 5-fluoro-2,3- dihydrobenzofuran-7-amine (400 mg, 2.61 mmol, 79% yield) as a red solid.1H NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-ak) δ = 6.23 (br d, J= 8.8 Hz, 2H), 4.91 (s, 2H), 4.47 (t, J= 8.8 Hz, 2H), 3.09 (t, J= 8.8 Hz, 2H). MS (ESI) m/z 274.0 [M + H]+
