A part of the (R)-CHBN aqueous solution synthesized in Example 4 was taken (50.0 g) ((R,S)-CHBN concentration 14.0%; containing 58.6 mmol), and 1.7 ml of 1 mg/ml CoCl2·6H2O aqueous solution was added thereto. The resultant solution was neutralized with aqueous NaOH to make its pH 7.06 and agitated for 2 hr. Subsequently, 270 μl of J-1 cells prepared in Example 5 was added dropwise, and the reaction was started in ice bath. After 2 hr, the conversion rate of CHBN reached 100% and it was confirmed that 8.04 g of (R)-CHBA was produced (yield: 99.7%).,
