Steps:

General procedure synthesis of primary carbamates

General procedure: Alcohol (1 mmol, 2a-g) was dissolved in 5mL pyridine. Thereaction mixture was cooled to 0 C and chlorosulfonyl isocyanate(CSI, 1.1 mmol) was added and resulting solutionwas stirred for 0.5 h at the room temperature. The reactionmixture was extracted with EtOAc. The organic phase wasdried over sodium sulfate and concentrated. Purification wasperformed through thin-layer chromatography (TLC) on silicagel.
