(2-fluoro-phenyl)-(2-nitro-phenyl)-amine (5.012 g, 21.5 mmol) was dissolved in EtOAc/MeOH (300 ml/110 ml), and charged with 10% Pd/C (0.50 g). The suspension was purged with hydrogen, and the reaction stirred at RT under hydrogen atmosphere (1 atm) for 4 hrs. The catalyst was filtered off and washed with EtOAc. The filtrate was concentrated to give 4.35 g (99%) of desired product. 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3) δ ppm 3.80 (s, 2 H) 5.35 (s, 1 H) 6.66 (m, 1 H) 6.73 (m, 2 H) 6.81 (dd, J=7.94, 1.34 Hz, 1 H) 6.93 (t, J=7.69 Hz, 1 H) 7.05 (dd, 2 H) 7.11 (dd, J=7.82, 1.47 Hz, 1 H) MS (APCl+): 203 (M+1, 100%)
