Example 25; A. 3-Pyrrolidin-2-yl-benzoic acid methyl ester. To a solution of N-Boc-2-(3-carboxyphenyl)pyrrolidine (125 mg, 0.43 mmol) in MeOH (3 mL) at room temperature was added conc HCl (0.1 mL). The reaction was stirred for 4 days. It was then concentrated, diluted with CH2Cl2, washed with aq. NaHCO3, dried over Na2SO4, filtered, and concentrated under reduced pressure to give Compound 25a (68 mg, 77%).
