(3-pyridylmethyl)sulfonamide
To a THF (2 mL) solution containing (3-pyridylmethyl)sulfonylchloride trifluoromethanesulfonate (100 mg, 0.293 mmol) was added ammonium hydroxide (28%, 1.00 mL), and the mixture was stirred at room temperature overnight.
The solvent was removed by distillation and the resultant solid was extracted with ethyl acetate twice.
Organic fractions were combined and the solvent was removed, and the mixture was purified using SCX column to obtain (3-pyridylmethyl)sulfonamide (46 mg, 91%) as a white solid.
1H-NMR (DMSO-d6) δ: 8.53-8.53 (2H, m), 7.77 (1H, d, J=7.8 Hz), 7.40 (1H, dd, J=7.8, 4.9 Hz), 6.92 (2H, s), 4.31 (2H, s).
