Synthesis of 4
A mixture of (S)-(4-benzylmorpholin-2-yl)methanol (5.5 g, 26 mmol) and Pd/C (10% Pd, 0.55 g) in MeOH (50 mL) was reacted with hydrogen balloon. After stirring for 12 h, the reaction mixture was filtered with celite, and concentrated under reduced pressure. The crude mixture of (S)-morpholin-2-yl methanol was used for next step without purification (3.1 g, 99%).1H-NMR (300 MHz, CDCl3) δ 3.88 (d,J= 11.2 Hz, 1H), 3.68 - 3.45 (m, 4H), 2.92 - 2.74 (m, 3H), 2.71 -2.58 (m, 1H).
