8,16-pyranthrenedione．C30H14O2(406.44)．C.I.59700，C.I.Pigment Orange 40ともいう．ピラントロン，2,2′-ジメチル-1,1′-ジアントラキノンをDMF，DMSO，N-メチルピロジノンなどの溶媒中で炭素カリウム，酢酸カリウムなどのアルカリと加熱環化させると得られる．橙色または赤褐色の針状晶．融点を示さず炭化する．熱ニトロベンゼン，熱アニリンに黄褐色に溶け，濃硫酸に溶けて暗青色を示す．樹脂，塗料などの着色用顔料や，木綿の建染めなせんに用いられる．森北出版「化学辞典（第2版）
製造方法
8,16-Pyranthrenedione called. Properties and Applications
