물성

엷은 황갈색의 분말로 냄새가 없으며 약간 쇠맛이 있는 강화제이다. 약 0.37%(25℃) 물에 녹으며 침전물은 피로인산나트륨액에 용해되고 무기산 및 암모니아수에 용해되며 초산에 녹지 않는다.

용도

전반적인 유제품, 밀가루, 소금 또는 건강보조 식품이나 의료 용도로 사용.

순도시험

  (1) 비소 : 이 품목을 비소시험법에 따라 시험할 때, 그 양은 4.0ppm 이하이어야 한다.

  (2) 납 : 이 품목 1.0g을 달아 50mL 플라스크에 넣고 9N 염산 10mL, 물 10mL , 아스코브산-요오드화나트륨용액 20mL 및 트리옥틸포스핀옥시드용액 5mL를 넣고 30초 동안 흔들어 섞고 방치하여 층을 분리한다. 다시 물을 가하여 유기층을 플라스크의 목부분에 오도록 하고 흔들어 섞은 다음 정치하여 층을 분리한 후 유기용매 층을 시험용액으로 한다. 따로 납표준용액 10mL를 취하여 정확히 100mL로 하고 이액 4mL를 정확히 취하여 50mL 플라스크에 넣고 시험용액과 동일한 방법으로 조작하여 대조액으로 한다. 시험용액 및 대조액을 원자흡광광도법 또는 유도결합플라즈마발광광도법에 따라 시험할 때, 시험용액의 흡광도(발광강도)는 대조액의 흡광도(발광강도) 보다 커서는 아니 된다(4.0ppm 이하).

    아스코브산-요오드화나트륨용액 : 아스코브산 10g 및 요오드화나트륨 19.3g을 물에 녹여 100mL로 한다.

    트리옥틸포스핀옥시드용액 : 트리옥틸포스핀옥시드 5g을 메틸이소부틸케톤에 녹여 100mL로 한다.

 (3) 수은 : 이 품목을 수은시험법에 따라 시험할 때, 그 양은 3.0ppm 이하이어야 한다.

확인시험

  이 품목 0.5g을 염산(1→2) 5mL에 녹이고 과량의 수산화나트륨시액을 가할 때, 액은 적갈색의 침전이 생긴다. 이 액을 수분간 정치한 다음 여과하며 초류액은 버린다. 맑은 여액 5mL에 브로모페놀블루시액 1방울을 가하고 녹색이 될 때까지 1N 염산으로 적정한다. 이에 황산아연용액(1→8) 10mL를 가하고 pH 3.8로 맞추면 백색의 침전이 생긴다.

정량법

  이 품목 3.5g을 정밀히 달아 염산(1→2) 75mL에 녹이고 5분간 끓인다. 냉각 후 염산(1→2)을 가하여 100mL로 하고, 이 액 25mL를 취하여 염산(1→2) 100mL를 가해 다시 5분간 끓인 후 끓는 액에 염화제일주석시액을 철이 환원되어 황색이 없어질 때까지 1방울씩 저으면서 가한다. 다시 염화제일주석시액 2방울을 가하고 약 50mL의 물을 가하여 실온까지 식힌 다음 강하게 저으면서 염화제이수은포화용액 15mL를 가하고 5분간 방치 후 300mL의 물에 황산 75mL를 서서히 가하여 식히고 인산 75mL를 가해 물로 500mL로 한 황산‧인산혼합액 15mL를 가한다. 디페닐아민설폰산바륨시액 0.5mL를 가하여 0.1N 중크롬산칼륨용액으로 적자색을 나타낼 때까지 적정한다.

개요

Iron, which is the chief constituent of Earth’s core, is the most abundant element in Earth as a whole (about 35 percent) . Ferric pyrophosphate is an iron replacement product, is a mixed-ligand iron complex in which iron (III) is bound to pyrophosphate and citrate. It is widely used to fortify cereal flours and infant cereals, dispersible ferric pyrophosphate is as well absorbed as ferrous sulfate in adults. pyrophosphate ions participate in the ion transfer processes. These ions, as chelating agents, would release iron from transferrin and form a ferric pyrophosphate complex, and that pyrophosphate alone has the ability to mediate iron exchange from transferring to ferritin. Ferric pyrophosphate citrate should only be added to the bicarbonate concentrate; do not add to acid concentrate mixtures. Ferric pyrophosphate citrate is not intended for use in patients receiving peritoneal dialysis; it has not been studied in patients receiving home hemodialysis.

화학적 성질

Ferric pyrophosphate (iron(III)pyrophosphate, Fe4(P207)3*xH2O) is a tan or yellowish-white odorless powder or Soluble crystals. It is insoluble in water but is soluble in mineral acids. It is prepared by reacting sodium pyrophosphate with ferric citrate.

Ferric pyrophosphate is an important kind of compounds insoluble in water and also poorly soluble in dilute acid. It does not modify organoleptic characteristics of foods because of its white colour and low reactivity, making it suitable for many difficult-to-fortify food vehicles, such as salt, cereals, infant formulas, and rice. It has been demonstrated to be an effective iron fortificant from efficacy studies. However, the poor solubility of ferric pyrophosphate in gastric juice limits its bioavailability, which furthemore reduces its nutritional value. The relative bioavailability value (RBV) of ferric pyrophosphate was reported to be only about 50% from human studies.

용도

Ferric Pyrophosphate is a nutrient supplement, tan or yellowish white in color, prepared by reacting sodium pyrophosphate with ferric citrate. the ingredient may be used in infant formula. it is also termed iron (iii) pyrophosphate.

제조 방법

Ferric pyrophosphate was prepared by adding sodium pyrophosphate solution to ferric chloride solution.

일반 설명

Ferric Phosphate is a tan or yellowish white odorless powder. It is insoluble in water and soluble in mineral acids. It can be prepared by reacting sodium pyrophosphate with ferric citrate. It shows good bioaccesibility.

Safety Profile

When heated to decomposition it emits very toxic fumes of POx.
