Incompatible with organic materials; acetylene, ethanol, phosphine, sulfur, hypophosphoric acid. Inorganic mercury compounds are incompatible with acetylene, ammonia, chlorine dioxide; azides, calcium (amalgam formation), sodium carbide; lithium, rubidium, copper.
