[Chemical Properties] The first chrysanthemic acid is a white crystal or light yellow solid containing cis and trans isomers. Due to the different contents of cis and trans isomers, the melting point is not fixed. (±) trans chrysanthemic acid mp54~55℃, (±) cis chrysanthemic acid mp114~115℃, bp109℃/133Pa. Chrysanthemic acid is insoluble in water but soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, benzene, and ether.
[Uses] Chrysanthemic Acid is an intermediate in the synthesis of Chrysanthemic Acid (C903440); Dimethrin is a pesticide, a pyrethroid insecticide. An acaricide for agricultural purposes.
