Tetrabutylammonium bromide, also known as tetrabutylammonium bromide, has the molecular formula [CH3-(CH2)3]4NBr. It is a white, deliquescent crystal with a melting point of 118°C. It is freely soluble in water, alcohol, ether, and acetone, and slightly soluble in benzene. It is used as a polarographic reagent and in organic synthesis.
