Vinyl cyclohexyl ether (CVE) is a colorless, transparent liquid at room temperature with a strong characteristic odor. It is immiscible with water but miscible with alcohols and ethers. Its structural formula contains a double bond and a stable six-membered ring. It is a novel polymeric monomer with excellent properties and is commonly used in fluoropolymers, unsaturated polyesters, superabsorbent resins, and UV-cured coatings. It is mainly used to reduce the crystallinity of fluoropolymers, imparting rigidity and transparency, thus resulting in better performance and a wider range of applications. |
