Anti-infective agent 1 (compound 3a) is a potent and selective antiprotozoal and antimycobacterial agent. Anti-infective agent 1 shows antiparasitic activity against P. falciparum and T. brucei rhodesiense, with IC50 values of 10.95 and 0.06 μM, respectively.
