[Synthesis] Chloroacetic acid and isooctyl alcohol are esterified in the presence of toluene solvent and sulfuric acid catalyst to produce isooctyl chloroacetate. After neutralization, sodium thiosulfate is added and reacted in ethanol solvent to produce sodium thiosulfate isooctyl chloroacetate. Then, acid hydrolysis is carried out with hydrochloric acid to produce Isooctyl thioglycolate.
