In the production of emulsions, foams, and dispersants, 1,2-Epoxydodecane can be used as a surfactant. In pharmaceutical industry, 1,2-Epoxydodecane can be used as a solvent in the production of certain pharmaceuticals, like pyrazolones. In the synthesis of hydroxyurea, 1,2-epoxydodecane is used as an intermediate in the production of a key starting material.
