Synthesis reaction formula of 2-(4-bromophenyl)imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine

Take a dry two-necked reaction tube, add a magnetic stir bar, and add 2-aminopyridine and 2,4'-dibromoacetophenone to the reaction tube in sequence. Then add toluene to the reaction tube, stir at room temperature for 5 minutes, and connect a reflux condenser. Then place the reaction tube in an oil bath, heat to 110℃, and continue the reaction for about 12 hours. Monitor the reaction by thin-layer chromatography until 2-aminopyridine disappears, and then stop the reaction. The reaction solution was cooled to room temperature, then transferred to a separatory funnel. Water was added, and extraction was performed using ethyl acetate as the extractant. After extraction, the ethyl acetate layer was dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate. The ethyl acetate solution was then evaporated to dryness. Using 200-300 mesh silica gel as the stationary phase and a mixture of petroleum ether and acetate as the eluent, column chromatography was used to separate 2-(4-bromophenyl)imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine.
