| Hazard Information | Back Directory | [Description]
HEPTAFLUORO-1-METHOXYPROPANE (375-03-1) is a highly fluorinated methyl ether with the chemical formula CF?CF?CF?OCH?. It can be used as an alternative refrigerant, a heat transfer fluid, a working fluid in organic Rankine cycles, and a cleaning agent [1]. Furthermore, it can serve as a solvent component in flame-retardant battery electrolytes, such as FHM (in combination with fluorinated ethylene carbonate) and LHCE-HM (in combination with 1,2-dimethoxyethane and LiFSI), to enhance the Coulombic efficiency of lithium deposition and deintercalation, as well as the battery’s cycling performance [2–3].
| [Uses]
Heptafluoro-1-methoxypropane is used in preparation method of Isolated Hydrofluoroether. | [References]
