is a colorless, crystalline solid (mp 23.5-24°C) or a colorless,
viscous liquid with a spicy, slightly floral odor.
Cinnamonitrile can be prepared by one of the common routes to nitriles, for
example, by dehydration of cinnamaldoxime. It is stable to alkali and is used for
