Preparation of 6-Chloronicotinamide: In a 50ml single-necked flask, add 2.0g hexachloronicotinic acid, 1.89g thionyl chloride, and 20ml toluene, and stir under reflux for 3h. Pump out excess thionyl chloride, and add the resulting toluene solution of the acyl chloride dropwise to 20ml concentrated ammonia water. Stir at room temperature for 1h. Filter, dry the filter cake to obtain 1.77g of white solid 6-Chloronicotinamide, yield 89%, melting point 213-215℃. |
