Imidazole-epichlorohydrin copolymer works as a basic brightener in alkaline zinc and zinc alloy plating, especially in cyanide-free plating solutions. It is usually used in combination with a top brightener. It is typically used at concentrations of 10-100 mg/L and ISE is compatible with conventional top brighteners. It has been shown to perform particularly well in combination with BPC 48. It can be used to ensure uniform distribution of the plated metal. It provides high brightness, especially on LCDs, and inhibits blistering. Chromate easily with ISE galvanised components. |
