Synthesis of 2-(Benzyloxy)-5-bromopyrimidine:
At room temperature, 5-bromo-2-chloropyrimidine (3.00 g, 15.51 mmol), benzyl alcohol (1.84 g, 17.06 mmol) and DMF (10 mL) were sequentially added to the flask. Potassium tert-butylate (2.82 g, 23.26 mmol) was added in portions. The mixture reacted at room temperature for 2 hours. Water was added, and the mixture was filtered to yield 2.10 g of the pure product, a yield of 51%. |
