It is employed to measure high doses of gamma rays by using Fricke's dosemeter. It is involved in a variety of other applications from nanomaterials to general redox reactions. The solubility at 25o is 0.36g/mL. It separates as an almost white powder when a saturated aqueous solution is diluted with EtOH. |
