以(1S,4R)-4-环戊烯-1-醇-2-氨基-叔丁氧羰基为原料合成((1R,3S)-3-羟基环戊基)氨基甲酸叔丁酯的一般步骤：将(1S,4R)-4-羟基环戊-2-烯基氨基甲酸叔丁酯（2.0 g，10 mmol）溶解于甲醇（20 mL）中，用氮气对反应烧瓶进行三次置换。向上述溶液中加入10% Pd/C催化剂（0.2 g，10%，w/w），随后用氢气进行三次置换。在室温及氢气氛围（1 atm）下搅拌反应混合物14小时。反应完成后，通过硅藻土过滤去除催化剂。浓缩滤液，得到目标产物((1R,3S)-3-羟基环戊基)氨基甲酸叔丁酯（1.9 g，收率：95%）。
